PURPOSE: A method for automatically selecting a TV environment according to a user's preference is provided to automatically decide whether a TV televiewing environment is converted by being recognized by a user when a power key is used as a fingerprint recognizer, or to automatically convert the TV televiewing environment into environments such as preference menus, preference images/sounds, and preference channels, thereby ensuring security. CONSTITUTION: A code generator decides whether a key signal is inputted(S21). If so, the inputted key signal is read(S22). The code generator decides whether a fingerprint key signal exists in the read key signal(S23). If so, the code generator extracts a characteristic of a corresponding fingerprint, and converts the extracted characteristic into a code capable of communication with a TV set(S24-S25). The converted code is delivered to a controller as an infrared signal type(S26). If the fingerprint key signal does not exist, the characteristic is converted into a code corresponding to the key signal, and the code is delivered. The controller inputs a user code output from the code generator, and decides whether the inputted user code is by a preregistered user. If so, the controller outputs a control signal, to make a user environment set by the preregistered user selected. |
