NUCLEAR FUEL ASSEMBLY SUPPORTING LATTICE STRUCTURE HAVING GOURD TYPE COMPOSITE BLADES

PURPOSE: A nuclear fuel assembly supporting lattice structure having gourd type composite blades is provided to actively generate a powerful rotary flow of a coolant. CONSTITUTION: A nuclear fuel assembly supporting lattice structure(10) includes lattice plates which are coupled with each other for supporting a nuclear fuel rod(25). The lattice plates have slots longitudinally by which the plates are coupled to form a lattice shape. Gourd type composite blades(22) are protrudingly formed on the bottom and top portions of the supporting lattice by two, respectively. The composite blades(22) formed on the bottom or top portion of the lattice are arranged alternately. The composite blades(22) rotate smoothly the coolant flowing upward so as to generate a rotary flow at an upper intersecting point. The composite blades(22) also function as springs for supporting the nuclear fuel rod(25).
