PURPOSE: A sound absorbing block recycling waste tires capable of being installed in any place where noises arise, especially railroad-bed or walls of tunnel, is provided to absorb or extinct many kinds of noises more effectively by having material and structure of absorbing block comprising sound wave holes, noise way between the holes, and absorbing sponges. CONSTITUTION: The manufacturing method of absorbing block comprises the steps of: grinding waste tires to be 3-5mm particle diameter; mixing it with an incombustible material in a volume ratio of 30-50:50-70, wherein the incombustible material is composed of, based on 100pts.wt. of CR-polychloroprene rubber, 169pts.wt. of CaCO3, 69pts.wt. of synthetic materials of Al(OH)3 and Sb, 45pts.wt. of fire-resistant oil, 4pts.wt. of MgO 0.5pts.wt. of stearic acid, 0.5pts.wt. of Zn, 2.3pts.wt. of vulcanization accelerator and 2pts.wt. of antioxidant, and the composition ratio is controlled within ± 20%; adding chemicals and binder to the ground tire; pressure-molding to be 15-25% of porosity between particles. The sound absorbing block is characterized by comprising a main body(10) of block whose cross section is a trapezoid column, having an effective distance of sound wave holes(11) and noise way(12) between the holes, and a sound absorbing sponge(14) lied in 2/3 of height of the main body block for absorbing noise coming into the sound wave hole.
