WET PRINTER AND METHOD FOR DETECTING INK LEAKAGE

PURPOSE: A wet printer and a method for detecting ink leakage are provided to promptly take necessary measures by detecting and notifying the ink leakage on an ink supply passage. CONSTITUTION: A wet printer includes a developing device(50) developing latent electrostatic image formed in a photosensitive medium by supplying the photosensitive medium with the stored ink, an ink supply part(30) supplying the developing device with ink, an engine controller(20) controlling an engine to print the image corresponding to the received image data in papers and determining the ink leakage on an ink supply passage from the ink supply part to the developing device by comparing the ink consumption amount calculated from the received image data amount with ink amount supplied to the developing device while the ink amount supplied to the developing device is consumed by printing operation of the developing device.
