The lamp post serves to fit portable lamps by simply plugging and holds these portable lamps reliably on a pivotable arm by means of double clamps so as to be continuously radially and axially displaceable, and is fitted by means of a mount to a standing post so as to be continuously radially and axially height-adjustable, which standing post is vertically held by a base which has a floor space which is as compact as possible but not bulky, and the specific weight in its design is sufficient to hold the lamp post with the plugged-on portable lamp in each continuously adjustable variation so as to be protected against falling over, so that an optimum workroom illumination is obtained without the need for manually holding the portable lamp, and that the portable lamp, after being used, can remain on the lamp post by pivoting away the pivoting arm in bar-shape in a space-saving and orderly manner. |
