PURPOSE: A method and a device for delivering data in a computer system are provided to accurately deliver the telemetry data from a stylus to a host computer via an asynchronous serial data channel. CONSTITUTION: The method comprises the steps of providing an input data word to be delivered to a host computer(18) from a stylus(12), selecting a code, encoding the input data word to a code-word using the selected code, transmitting the cord-word to the host computer from the stylus via consecutive packet streams without any framing data between packets, the host computer receiving the consecutive packet streams, and separating the consecutive packet streams by the cord-word based on the characteristic of the selected code. According to the use of synchronous method, the recognition of invalid intermediate code matches as validly transmitted code word is restrained. The code word transmitting comprises the steps of modulating carrier wave signal using consecutive packet stream and transmitting the modulated carrier wave signal from the stylus. The code word receiving comprises the steps of receiving the modulated carrier wave signal from the stylus and removing the carrier wave component for generating the consecutive packet stream. |
