PURPOSE: A self-diagnosing apparatus for a fuel filter is provided to self-diagnose an accumulating state of fuel through a control section by turning on/off installed at a sidewall of the fuel filter. CONSTITUTION: A self-diagnosing apparatus comprises a filtering membrane(10) positioned in a filter case(30) to surround an inlet(12) for filtering fuel passing through the inlet(12). The filtering membrane(10) is formed with perforation holes(14) in a direction of an outlet(32). A relief valve(20) is slidably inserted into the perforation holes(14). A groove(22) is formed at the relief valve(20). A movement guiding shaft(26) is fixed to a sidewall of the filter case(30) and is inserted into the groove(22) for guiding the movement of the relief valve(20). A spring(24) makes contact with an end of the movement guiding shaft(26). An alarm section(60) is provided to notify the saturation state of the filter membrane(10).
