摘要 PURPOSE: Looper control system and method in hot rolling are provided which enable accurate controlling of a looper by operating an accurate length of a strip according to an angle of the looper. CONSTITUTION: The looper control system in hot rolling comprises an input part(15) inputting a reference looper angle and actual looper angles outputted from a tension control system; a memory part(20) memorizing variables of a horizontal length from a No. i stand to a looper arm, a vertical distance from a roll contact point of the stand to a looper roll, a length of the looper arm, a radius of the looper roll and a distance between stands so as to operate a strip length from the looper angles of the input part; a first operation means(11) operating a reference strip length due to the reference looper angle by reading the reference looper angle of the input part and the variables of the memory part; a second operation means(12) operating an actual strip length by the actual looper angle by reading an actual looper angle outputted from the tension control system of the input part and the variables of the memory part; a third operation means operating a strip length deviation, a difference between the reference strip length of the first operation means and an actual strip length of the second operation means; and a controller(30) controlling a roll motor according to the strip length deviation of the third operation means.
