PURPOSE: An engine stall preventive method from oil oxidation is provided to prevent oil oxidation by circulating oil with changing from the traveling mode into the neutral mode in stopping the vehicle, and to lengthen a life span by preventing engine stall and protecting a transmission. CONSTITUTION: A control unit detects the position of a selector lever of an automatic transmission through a selector lever position sensor in stopping during traveling(S20), and checks the traveling mode of the automatic transmission(S30). Use of a brake is detected through a brake detecting switch in the traveling mode of the automatic transmission(S40), and the vehicle speed is detected to be 0 km/h through a vehicle speed sensor(S50). The control unit outputs a control signal to an actuator in stopping the vehicle, and the actuator outputs the control signal to a manual valve to convert into the neutral mode. A shift valve is controlled with operating the manual valve, and the traveling mode is converted into the neutral mode. Oxidation and engine stall are prevented with circulating oil actively by converting into the neutral mode in stopping.
