<p>The lock (1) consists of a hook-shaped bolt (22) set inside a recess (3) and designed to engage with a striker rod (31) when the door is closed, while a catch (23) holds the bolt in the locked position. One side of the recess has a wedge (41) to align it accurately with the striker rod and reduce the clearances in the lock mechanism. The wedge is preferably made from a synthetic material fitted with an elastomer shock absorber.</p> |
