PURPOSE: A method for predicting a forward coverage in a mobile telecommunication system is provided to present a simulation method that exactly predict a receive signal in consideration of propagation characteristics under radio environment and interference with neighboring cells and shows a forward coverage through the predicted receive signal. CONSTITUTION: A configuration to determine a coverage in a mobile telecommunication system is comprised of a map generator block(11), a system generator block(13), a calculation block(15), and a coverage determination block(17). The map generator block(11) generates topographical information around a BTS(Base station Transceiver Subsystem), in which a simulation is executed. The system generator block(13) generates information about a BSC(Base Station Controller), the BTS and an antenna. The calculation block(15) calculates the strength of a signal through information provided from the system generator block(13). Based on the calculated signal strength, the coverage determination block(17) determines a coverage.
