Ski pole (1) comprises cylindrical handle (2) having peripheral wall (2a). Handle has support point (4) extending laterally from peripheral wall. This support point co-operates with thumb (5) of skier so as to provide additional way for axial transmission of force, by thumb, when hand is closed on handle of pole. An Independent claim is also included for the handle.
