A system (14) for delivering mortar (16) to blocks or bricks (12) used for receiving and dispensing the mortar (16) at an elevated pressure. A delivery hose (58) is attached to the tank (32). A nozzle (26) having an inlet (28) and an outlet (30) is used for delivery of the mortar (16). The inlet (28) of the nozzle is in fluid communication with the delivery hose (58). The mortar (16) is discharged as a single stream or bead of mortar (24) from the outlet (30) of the nozzle (26) onto the block or brick (12) used for forming the wall (10). The single stream of mortar (24) is placed on the ends and opposite edges of the side face of the block (12). Each block (12) is placed end to end next to each other forming a first course of blocks (12). The wall (10) continues upwardly as blocks (12) are positioned over the streams of mortar (24) placed on the sides of each course of blocks (12). The position of the streams of mortar (24) on the blocks can be controlled by an index guide (68) that is mounted on the nozzle (26). The index guide (68) is used to engage the side of a removable wall panel, fixed wall panel or existing wall structure (66). |
