The method involves calculating a route on the basis of a digital map modelling a real road network with resistance and nodes, whereby borders of the route optimised with a route search algorithm are stored in a route table, whereby at least one intermediate destination is specified for the route. An Independent claim is also included for an arrangement for determining a route from an initial position to a destination.
