The invention relates to a method for influencing relevant quality parameters of a rolling strip, especially the profile or the flatness of the rolling strip, in a roll stand having rolls by adjusting the crownings of the rolls, that is, the surface geometry of the rolls in the longitudinal direction thereof, whereby the crowning of the rolls is adjusted by regulating the cooling of the rolls or the surfaces thereof in longitudinal direction of the rolls, whereby cooling of the rolls is regulated by a regulator (1) depending on (Pist) crowning and a predetermined set value (Psoll) of crowning.
