The present invention pertains to the field of medicine, more precisely to that of biochemical pharmacology and relates to a pharmaceutical composition for restoring the sympatho-adrenal system that comprises a dopamine-generating substance. This composition mainly contains a dioxyphenylalanine, i.e. a dopamine precursor, in an amount of 2.5; 4.5; 20.0; 50.0 or 90.0 mg per 1000 mg of additional substances such as starch, saccharose, lactose, etc. This composition also contains sunflower oil, peanut oil, cod-liver oil, etc. This composition may also include an antioxidant in an amount of 4.0 to 20.0 mg or a glucocorticosteroid in an amount of 0.01 to 10.0 mg. This invention also relates to a method for estimating the individual efficiency of the pharmaceutical composition when applying a therapy to a patient according to a technique of urine adrenographic analysis. The method involves realising a functional probe by administering to the patient a half, unique or dual dose of the composition with a maximum content of the dopamine-generating substance. According to the results of the adrenogram profile changes 60 to 600 after the administration, the method involves selecting the composition with a maximal, average or minimal active ingredient content.
