<p>An improved bracket and headrail assembly (30) is provided. The bracket (31) is secured to a structure, as a window or ceiling (60), and comprises a vertical back (33) and a forwardly extending horizontal top leg (32). The vertical member (33) has a first engagement member (34) for engaging and securing the headrail (40). The headrail (40) has a front vertical portion (41) that leads to a top end and a depending horizontal member (42) that is designed to underly the leg (32) of the bracket (31) when assembled. The horizontal member (42) has a second engagement member (43) that selectively engages the first engaging member (34) of the bracket. The headrail (40) also has a lifting mechanism (45) so that, as the two pieces (31 and 40) are assembled, the top of the vertical headrail portion is raised into a substantially flush relationship with the ceiling (60).</p> |
