PURPOSE:To prevent paper from being damaged when abutted on a side fence by providing an angle switching means and a transfer roller which have a structure for changing the direction of paper by detecting its back end when an original loading criteria method is switched to either a central criteria method or a one-side criteria method. CONSTITUTION:When an original loading criteria method is switched from central criteria method to one-side criteria method, the back end of paper transferred is detected by a photo sensor 8 to excite a solenoid for an angle switching means 7, in order to switch to state in which a transfer roller 5 is inclined. From this point of time, a timer starts clocking, and when a specified time elapses, the solenoid 7B is de-energized to return the direction of the transfer roller 5 to the initial state. That is, the transfer direction is switched as soon as the back end of paper is detected by the sensor 8 and the paper is transferred to a side fence 1. The specified time is set so that the paper can advance with a minimum of stop time during which the edge of paper contacts the side fence 1. |
