A posterior chamber intraoccular implant is made of flexible material and comprises a center part and a haptic part with an optical part surrounded by annular wall (I) with openings and a peripheral toroidal ring (II). (I) and (II) are made of a thin film. The openings extend over 180 - 300 deg of the circumference of (I). (II) fits in the equatorial part of the capsular bag and equals its diameter. (II) also partly extends onto the rhexis of the anterior capsule. The ring radius may be 0.5 - 1 mm. The openings are identical and equidistant.
