The arrangement has the piezoelectric elements (11n-2n3) divided into groups (B1,B2), each containing one or more piezoelectric elements and which can be mutually independently charged or discharged. The groups of piezoelectric elements are components of circuits that are connected in parallel with each other. Selection switches are used to determine which groups will be charged or discharged. An Independent claim is also included for a method of charging and discharging several piezoelectric elements.
