Vapour recovery system for hydrocarbon dispensers used for filling motor vehicles

A hydrocarbon vapour recovery circuit is connected to the dispensing valve (5) to receive the vapour at the outlet of the tank (6) during filling. The valve is connected to a suction pump (10) whose output is connected to the storage tank (1). A control unit (11) measures the liquid volume and vapour flow as well as the vapour pump to control the flow of vapour depending on the rate at which the liquid is dispensed. A vapour/liquid separator (8) in the vapour recovery circuit upstream of the vapour flow controller (9) has a receiving chamber (81) with centrifugal effect to collect the liquid. The recovery chamber is connected to the bleeding pipe (85), the inlet of which is fitted with a non-return valve (86).
