The method involves testing a continuous use of successive track elements, and releasing a regulation of free track elements, when a corresponding condition is met. A clearance test is triggered, at least at a targeted entry signal (S), the latest at pulling in into the station (Bhf), to produce a clearance message for the continuous use of the first (Bl), and at least two further station sections (B2, B3). The clearance message causes a returned blocking of the path, and the release of the last section of the line (Sn), as well as the utilised entry signal. The clearance message occurs preferably in the target element of the path, to which the release- and utilisation messages of the path- and station sections to be included, are passed.
