The pump/motor (10) has a drive (15) with gear pairs (18-21) held with their hubs on shafts (25,26). One shaft has outer toothing (32) consisting of at least two toothed parts (34,35), which are at a distance to each other and have offset teeth. Each part is associated with one of the driven gears (18,19). The internal toothing of the driven gears extend over part of the width only, and this part is less than half the width.
