The present invention relates to a security switching system of an automobile or similar vehicle, namely, to the switching system for preventing unauthorized ignition of the vehicle. The security switching system is provided with auxiliary battery terminals (6,8) spaced out from the main terminals (7,9) of the vehicle battery (2). One of said auxiliary terminals (6) is coupled with the main battery terminal (7) of the same electric pole by means of a switching unit (1). The switching unit (1) is controlled in accordance with an output signal generated by coding means (3,4) upon recognition of a code entered. The coding means (3,4) are formed by a code input key (3) and code receiver (4). Said switching unit (1) and main battery terminals (7,9) are preferably hidden from view and disposed in a place inaccessible for an unauthorized person. According to one of possible embodiments of the security switching system said switching unit (1) may be disposed directly in a casing of the battery (2). The security switching system according to the present invention may be installed on vehicles of all kinds, irrespective of their specific type, model and technical data.
