SUBSTANCE: the method consists in heating of ammunition by heat-transfer agent in the form of gaseous products of combustion of hydrocarbon-type fuel contacting with ammunition. The installation has an ammunition heating unit with devices for supply and discharge of heat-transfer agent, loading of ammunition, its displacement inside the unit, unloading of ammunition and drain of melted explosive, as well as a source of heat-transfer agent, whose exhaust system communicates with the ammunition heating unit.
