PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To smoothly and effectively perform correction of skewing of paper sheets. SOLUTION: When paper sheets P are delivered, if the state is a normal state where a specified amount or more of skewing of the paper sheets P is not detected by photosensors S, S', a pair of pinch rollers 5L, 5R are made in the pressed state in relation to conveying rollers 4L, 4R, and a pair of pinching means 6L, 6R are made in the non-pinching state. While when a specified amount or more of skewing of the paper sheets P is detected by the photosensors S, S', the pinch rollers 5L, 5R and the pinching means 6L, 6R corresponding to the side (the left side or the right side) in which the paper sheets P proceed are made in the skew correcting state only for the skew correction required time according to the skewing amount. That is, only the pinch rollers 5L, 5R corresponding to the side in which the paper sheets P proceed are made in the separated state from the conveying rollers 4L, 4R, and the pinching means 6L, 6R on the same side as them are made in the pinching state where the paper sheet P is pinched at an approximately one point.
