PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To effect deaeration using a single pressure reducing means even if a large number of liquids to be dearated are simultaneously deaerated, without requiring vacuum pumps of the same number as deaeration units. SOLUTION: A vacuum pump 60 is operated to draw the air of pressure reducing units 13a, 13b, 13c to lower the pressure thereof to a predetermined pressure, while liquids to be deaerated A, B, C are supplied to membrane deaeration units 10a, 10b, 10c throuth feed pipes 20a, 20b, 20c, respectively. Since the units 13a, 13b, 13c are depressurized by the operation of the pump 60, gases dissolved in the liquids A, B, C supplied to the units 10a, 10b, 10c are respectively passed to the units 13a, 13b, 13c from liquid passages 12a, 12b, 12c through air-liquid separation membranes 11a, 11b, 11c, and the gas deaerated from the liquids are discharged through a buffer tank 80 and the vacuum pump 60.
