<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and device for controlling a sheet profile of a material to be rolled in which a primary factor of the change in the shape of a work roll or the like is also considerable in a continuous rolling mill in which the sheet profile of the material to be rolled is controlled by shifting the work roll. SOLUTION: In a shiftable region (Smin-Smax) of the work roll, the estimated values EDc of edge drop are calculated (S4), the minimum value EDmin of edge drop is selected among them (S5: Y) and the amount of shift at this time is defined as an optimum value Sopt of the amount of shift. The optimum value Sopt of the amount of shift is decided as the amount Sd of shift (S11) and, based on the decided amount Sd of shift, the manipulated variable of a work roll bender device is decided (S13).</p> |
