PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To smoothen the label feeding operation in printing work so that the set width of label machine-glazed paper may be secured to the machine- glazed paper width or more even if a roll pressing member is strongly pressed in. SOLUTION: In a label machine-glazed paper setting device of a label printer, label machine-glazed paper 3 and a roll pressing member 7 are fitted and inserted around a set shaft 6 arranged in a printer main body, the roll pressing member 7 is disengageably hooked on the set shaft 6 in a state where it is close to the end surface of the label machine-glazed paper 3, and the label machine-glazed paper 3 is set in the specified position. The set width of the label machine-glazed paper 3 is constituted so as to be slightly extended without operation after the roll pressing member 7 is hooked on the set shaft 6.
