PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent digital data recorded on a signal recording medium from being illegally analog- and digital-copied, and to prohibit stepwise generation copy, and further, to prevent both analog and digital copies being illegally copied at the same time. SOLUTION: On an optical disk which is a signal recording medium, not only a digitized video signal, but also a recording control code for preventing illegal copy are recorded, which are distributed in each header part of the reproduction mode control signal area part arranged at the beginning end of the recording track for controlling the mode of reproduction state and the sectored digital video signals. When an optical disk D is reproduced, the state of this picture-recording control code is detected, and based on the detected output, a picture-recording scramble signal and/or picture-recording prohibiting signal of the analog video signal mode can be generated. |
