PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ear clinical thermometer of high reproducibility of a measured value by constituting the thermometer whose in-ear-hole body temperature measuring means holds the peak of the in-ear-hole body temperature in the measuring time, and whose measuring time deciding means decides the measuring time by adding or subtracting the time adapting to a standard time. SOLUTION: When a user connects the power of a body 1 by pushing the power on/off switch 16, a measuring time deciding means 4 detects the power on. Then, a temperature signal is confirmed by an infrared sensor element temperature detecting means 10. The measuring time deciding means 4 treats the temperature detected by the infrared sensor element temperature detecting means 10 as room temperature. Namely, the measuring time is decided by adding or subtracting the time adapting to room temperature to a standard time, and is displayed on a liquid crystal informing part constituting an informing means 5. The standard time is decided on an experiment. Namely, it is decided as the time by that time renewal of the peak value of in-ear-hole body temperature no more occurs, when the thermometer is slowly rotated in an ear hole of plural subjects at the standard room temperature using the probe 2.
