PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To inform a driver that automatic heating of a mirror is actuated by a thermostat in the shape of not averting attention of the driver from road traffic by also actuating a display element visible from the mirror front when actuating a heating element. SOLUTION: A rearview mirror presents a multilayer structure over the inside or the rear side 6 of the mirror from the outside or the front side 4 of the mirror. A structure of the rearview mirror has a heating element mainly composed of semiconductor paste 14 and silver conductive paste 16. When a movable contact 54 of a thermostat 48 reaches a prescribed ambient temperature, a current circuit is closed to spontaneously actuate heating of the mirror to remove cloudiness, frost and the like. An LED 42 being a started display element can be seen from a clipping area 56 and an aperture 58 at the same time. Thus, an automobile driver can recognize this hating only by glancing the rearview mirror. |
