PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent surface defects of a die formed stock from being conspicuous without increasing the manufacturing cost by printing a pattern over the whole surface on which generation of surface defects in the die formed stock is estimated. SOLUTION: A pattern is printed over a whole surface of a case 1 which is a die formed stock. The pattern 2 is preferably three-dimensional. The pattern 2 is preferably a simulation of a roughly woven cloth with coarse weave touch including grain, and ones free from meaning or regularity. The pattern may be a printed one using a foam ink. Since the location of generation of the defects such as flow mark or shrinkage can not be identified, the pattern 2 without regularity is printed all over the surface. Even when a defect is generated in an unidentified part of the surface of the case 1 which is the die formed stock, the surface defect disappear among the pattern 2, and is not conspicuous. If there is a flat space on which the printing is available, this method is applicable extensively for press cast stocks of light metal and injection molded stock of synthetic resin.
