PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To support the input of a character by a desired variant font. SOLUTION: Font data of a number of characters containing variant fonts are prepared. The variant fonts of the same character are previously defined as characters belonging to the same group. The character is inputted to a character input window 110 by using regular KANA (Japanese syllabary)/KANJI (Chinese character) conversion software. When a character which is to be converted into a desired variant font is designated as an objective character T in the inputted characters, a function selection frame 115 is displayed at the side. When enlargement display is selected, enlargement display on the objective character T is obtained. When a variant font is selected, the variant fonts defined as the same group of the objective character T are list-displayed in a candidate display frame 116. When the desired variant font in the candidate display frame 116 is selected, the objective character T is replaced by the selected font. |
