<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve horizontal resolution by sampling an image signal on the basis of the modulation clock signal for which a reference clock signal is frequency-modulated, feeding such image signal to a corresponding pixel and thereby obtaining an image. SOLUTION: In the first frame, a video signal sig. 1-sig. 14 in each line is sampled in the pulse timing of a modulation clock signal 1, with the image information written in the corresponding pixel. Then, in the second frame, the video signal sig. 1-sig. 14 in each line is sampled in the pulse timing of the modulation clock signal 2 which is shifted by 1/10 period from the modulation clock signal 1, with the image information written in the corresponding pixel. Thus, the sampling of the video signal from first to tenth frame is successively performed, as is the writing of the image information in the corresponding pixel. In this case, in the contour part of the image, there are frames in which the image information is not written in. Accordingly, it is written as gradation information in the pixels.</p> |
