PURPOSE: A loading mechanism of a disc device is provided to achieve the cost reduction, etc., by arranging one motor for load and feed motors. CONSTITUTION: A mechanism is provided with a tray rack 1 restraining(1b,Ta) to the tray(T) to make the tray(T) operate from the projecting position to the housing position by making the housing operation while engaging with a load gear(9) rotated by the load motor and also individually operating by releasing the restraint when the tray(T) comes to the housing position and disengaging from the load gear(9) after this individual operation, a relay gear(3) for rotating while engaging with the tray rack(1) in accordance with the housing operation of this tray rack(1), a slide rack(2) for arranging a clamper to the clamp position from the release position by operating with the rotation of this relay gear(3), and a toggle lever(5) for operating in accordance with the housing operation of the tray rack(1) and making a pickup(4) for driving the pickup to engage with a feed gear(6) rotating by the load motor when the tray rack(1) and the load gear(9) are disengaged.
