PURPOSE: An apparatus for compensating sliding preventing rpm in case of restarting at uphill road and a method for controlling the same are provided to prevent a vehicle from being pushed backward and maintain starting by automatically increasing engine rpm, thereby easily restarting the vehicle and preventing a car accident. CONSTITUTION: An apparatus for compensating sliding preventing rpm in case of restarting at uphill road includes an inclination angle sensor(10) sensing an inclination angle of a road surface, a brake pedal angle sensor(20) sensing an operation point where a vehicle is pushed due to inclination, an electric control unit(30) receiving the signal sensed by each sensor for controlling a throttle lever actuator, and the throttle lever actuator(40) controlled by the electric control unit for compensating engine rpm.
