<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for more easily producing a novel refined toner having a controlled electrostatic charge by mixing an aqueous solution in which a specific compound or its metal compound is dispersed at a specified average dispersion diameter with a monomer composition containing a radically polymerizable monomer and a coloring agent in a water-soluble dispersion medium and subjecting the mixture to suspension poymerization. SOLUTION: An aqueous solution, in which the compound shown by formula I or formula II or its metal compound is dispersed at 0.01-1μm average dispersion diameter and the monomer composition containing radically polymerizable monomer and the coloring agent are mixed in the water-soluble dispersion medium and subjected to the suspension polymerization. In formula I, rings A and R are aromatic ring residual groups, -OH and -CONH-R are bonded to aromatic a ring residual group A at adjacent substitution positions. In formula II, A1, A2, R1 and R2 are aromatic ring residual groups; B is a bivalent organic group, -OH and -CONH-R1 and -OH and -CONH-R2 are combined to aromatic ring residual groups A1 and A2 at the adjacent substitution positions, respectively.</p> |
