PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To permit the normal/defective decision of a packaging state of a driving IC with a check of a visible level and to decrease the man-hours for deciding the normal/defective condition of the packaging state of the driving IC. SOLUTION: The liquid crystal display device having plural connecting terminal parts consisting of metallic wiring of single layer or laminated structure inclusive of light shieldable metallic films connected to an external drive circuit of TCP leads 30, etc., and extracted from a substrate in order to impress voltage to pixel electrodes is provided with slits 22 which are parallel with the wiring leading-out direction and have the same central lines as the central lines of the respective connecting terminals at the light shieldable metallic films of panel terminals 21 of the connecting terminal parts. The sizes at the plane shapes of the slits 22 satisfy the relation X=2R-W when the width thereof is defined as X, the width of the light shieldable metallic film layers of the panel terminals as W and the overlap quantity least necessary for connection of the external drive circuit connecting terminals and the panel terminals via ACFs(anisotropic conductive films) as R.
