PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a safe large nonaqueous electrolyte battery having a long life. SOLUTION: This nonaqueous electrolyte battery is equipped with a group of electrodes formed by combining the electrodes having different polarities face to face while an electrode active material is formed on their collectors of a thin sheet member, a metal container 13 to store the group of electrodes, and nonaqueous electrolyte to be filled in the container 13. In this case, the group of electrodes is separated into plural small groups of electrodes 10, and they are partitioned individually for every small group of electrodes by plural metal partitions 17 provided in the container 13.
