PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily know the inclination direction of an image obtained by an in-pipe inspection device by providing the device with a display means, etc., for displaying the vertical and lateral directions of an object, which are photographed by a camera and are projected together with the object in this image. SOLUTION: A direction display member 31 is disposed in a fixed state between the camera 16 and transparent window 14 in a casing 12 possessed by a propulsion body 11. The direction display member 31 is constituted to be photographed by the camera 16. When the casing 12 rotates around its axial center with the device, the water surface of the direction display member 31 exists such that pure water comes to a gravity direction. Then, the portion of the air is so projected as to be above and the portion of the pure water to be below at all times in the video of the camera 16. In such a case, the pure water is put into the portion of about 70% of a transparent container, by which the water surface is eventually projected to be offset from the center of the image and the vertical and lateral directions of the screen are eventually identified in accordance with the position of the water surface at the monitor screen.
