PURPOSE: A method for regulating both side printing of a thick paper in a printer is provided to prevent a paper jam in a duplexer by regulating both side printing of a paper of which thickness exceeds a reference thickness value. CONSTITUTION: A method for regulating both side printing of a thick paper in a printer includes the steps of sensing a thickness of a paper advancing into a printing unit, comparing the thickness with a reference thickness value(S200), discharging the paper through a discharging path(S310), displaying an error message in a display part(S330), removing a paper jammed in a printing route(S340), and cleaning residual images of alternate image areas on a photosensitive belt from the printing unit in case of an initial both side printing while cleaning residual image of parallel image areas on the photosensitive belt in the process of the both side printing(S350).
