PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a secret key management device of a public key encipherment system which manages plural private keys by less management information without depending on specific hardware and application. SOLUTION: In storing processing, key management table information 5 consisting of a private key 2 and an identifier 6 generated from the key is generated, stored in a key management table off a hard disk 9, while in operation processing, the private key 2 is retrieved from the key management table 10 of the hard disk 9 and used for operation for data 15 on the basis of the inputted identifier 6.
