PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a thermistor material usable over a wide range, wherein being adjustable, the electrical resistance is low in a wide temperature range of low to high temperatures. SOLUTION: With first and second phases provided, the first phase comprises insulating matrix particles while the second phase comprises semiconductive or conductive second-phase particles which are discretely diffused in 3-dimensional network, comprising at least boron or a boron compound. At its manufacture, at least a metal boron powder or boron compound is added to the material for matrix particles and that for the second phase particles, for sintering.
