PURPOSE: A kimchi refrigerator is provided to reduce cold air leakage and lengthen storage period for kimchi by suppressing rancidity of kimchi. CONSTITUTION: A kimchi refrigerator comprises a storage container(2) for storage of kimchi case, an outer case(4) surrounding the storage container with an adiabatic material(6) interposed between the outer case and the storage container, a condenser coil(14) for condensing the refrigerant compressed by a compressor(5) installed within a machinery chamber(10) disposed beneath the storage container, an evaporator coil(8) for heat-exchanging with the refrigerant output from the condenser coil and transferring cold air into the storage container, a main door(40) mounted to the top of the outer case by a main hanger(44), an auxiliary door(50) mounted to the main door by an auxiliary hanger(54), and an auxiliary container(58) fixed beneath the auxiliary door.
