PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a data storage device that simultaneously records video data and image data and their recording state and to provide a data storage method, a system-on-chip type integrated device, a computer-readable recording medium and a video data editor. SOLUTION: A video I/O controller 11 of the data storage device V1 that has an edit/output function of a screen display signal receives video data 53 and the controller 11 outputs a screen display signal 52a in cooperation with a 3rd data buffer 13 based on the video data 53, and the 3rd data buffer 13 transfers the signal 52a to a 1st data buffer 8 via a DMAS bus 5. Furthermore, a 2nd data buffer 10 transfers image data 51a to the 1st data buffer 8 via a common bus 3, transfers again the data 51a to the 3rd data buffer 13 via the DMA bus 5, and the 3rd data buffer 13 outputs the screen display signal 52a on the basis of the image data 51a.
