PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a coated article conveying apparatus for a coating/drying furnace with light weight simplified structure and the low cost in which heating load of the furnace is reduced. SOLUTION: To construct a coated article conveyance apparatus for conveying a coated article A in succession in a coating/drying furnace 1, there is provided driving means 3, 4, 5 for reciprocating a rod-shaped structure 2 with its attitude where its longitudinal direction is in a coated article conveyance direction forward and backward in the direction of the coated article conveyance direction. Following a forward reciprocating motion of the rod- shaped structure 2 by being engaged with a truck 9 for placing coated article upon forward reciprocation of the rod-shaped structure 2, the truck 9 is fed forwardly. Engagement means 12 is provided on the rod-shaped structure 2, arranged in the conveyance direction of the coated article such that forward feeding of the truck 9 is relayed in succession through a plurality of the engagement means 12 following repeated reciprocation motion of the rod- shaped structure 2, the engagement means 12 is adapted such that following a forward reciprocating motion of the rod-shaped structure 2 by being engagement with a truck 9 for placing coated article upon forward reciprocation of the rod-shaped structure 2, the truck 9 is fed forwardly, and the engagement with the trunk 9 is disengaged upon backward reciprocation motion of the rod-shaped structure 2 and the truck 9 is left behind at a feeding position.
