PURPOSE: A system for downloading a MP3 file to a MP3 player by using a cellular phone is provided to request a MP3 file transmission to a providerhaving various contents files with MP3 forms, so as to download a desired file and various information, and to accelerate MP3 player sales. CONSTITUTION: A provider having and supplying a MP3 file(16) stores various files with MP3 forms, and responds to a transmitting request of the MP3 file to transmit menu data for selecting a desired file of the stored MP3 files, then transmits a corresponding MP3 file on the basis of a selected result. A cellular phone(12) requests a transmission of the MP3 file to the provider, and transmits a selected MP3 file to the provider on the basis of the menu data, then stores the MP3 file transmitted from the provider to download the MP3 file. A MP3 player(10) downloads the stored MP3 file to play the MP3 file. An interface interfaces the cellular phone with the MP3 player.
