PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a disk device capable of preventing the rubbing of a cartridge by a cartridge presser, preventing the cartridge from being scratched, and at the same time, reducing the load on transportation. SOLUTION: The disk device with a tray 2 that is a cartridge-carrying means for carrying a cartridge 4 for accommodating a disk 3 for recording and reproducing information from a non-fitted state to a fitted state, is provided with a cartridge presser 8, a projecting part 9, and a spring part 13 that are variable pressing means for varying and pressing the cartridge 4 in a direction that orthogonally crosses the surface of the disk 3 being linked to the carrying operation of the tray 2.
