PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To analyze the cause into details in the case a claim is made against a film unit equipped with a lens, and also, to rapidly and accurately produce many kinds of film units. SOLUTION: At assembling a film cartridge, information D on a photographic film is stored in an IC memory 23, and information A on the parts of a unit main body and information B on the assemblage and inspection processes are stored in the storing medium of a production information control computer 40. When the film cartridge is supplied, the bits of information A, B and D are collated with production planning information, and after a film is loaded, the bits of information A and B, film loading information C, and inspection information E are stored in the IC memory 23. At a packaging process, the bits of information A to E are read out so as to collate the kind of the unit main body with an outer packing label and the kind of the packing material, then, a packing line corresponding to the unit main body is automatically selected. The outer package label is stuck on the unit main body after the packing material information F is stored in the IC memory 23, and after the unit is enclosed in the packing material, the units are packed up and shipped. When the claim is made, the bits of information A to F are read from the IC memory 23 so as to be used for analyzing the cause retroactively to a production process.
